Hawk seen SE of Haslemere, Surrey
Feb 27, 2017 - 10:41 AM - by Dogcatcher
My gamekeeper neighbour has just rung to say that he saw a large hawk (not a known species) wearing jesses sitting on a post about 3 miles SE of Haslemere at about 09.00 27 Feb. He estimates that the bird is large enough to take a rabbit.
PM me for grid ref. etc.

Lost Male Harris hawk in Harwich Area
Feb 25, 2017 - 6:26 PM - by Casey1
Hi,
Hope you guys can help, my 11yr old Male Harris Casey gave me the slip this morning whilst transferring to his mews. He is quite approachable and will allow other to feed him.
Regrettably he only has one anklet and jess.... -after medical treatment for a leg infection and has a small noble bell.
His legs look a little bowed... that's how I got him!? And he has one tail feather missing in the centre.
He is 2oz over flying weight!
