Ok is this more like what you want?

A friend made this one for me and think he was selling them on fleabay. It wasn't cheap but is all solid bar and weight about 35lb, even the dog has trouble...

Well I must be the lucky one as the pasture nettle clumps are never above waist height and I do enjoy quietly wandering through them hawk on fist waiting for the nervous nettles to show, some times...

I usually start the season while the cover is still high figuring that the first month or so the hawk needs to get fit again so usually go nettle wading just to get a few under the belt.

Finally got round to building this and used a suction cup film crews use to mount cameras on cars so don't think a skinny old aerial will be going anywhere.

Let's just hope never have to use it in...
