That's the way it goes, if it was your bird or dog you would want it back as its your property. It's all part of it, although you would have expected them to have offered to pay for its upkeep etc.

I'm afraid that you are wrong. I have taken on problematic birds on more than one occassion then hunted them hard and their problems were non existent.

Paul Burns and Sloehawk produce quality birds. Paul's go back to original import lines and are nice big birds. Give him a call he's a really nice guy and very knowledgeable.

Its a difficult one as what often works for one Harris won't work for another. Very often once they get killing on a regular basis a lot of the little niggles can soon disappear.

It could be a multitude of things as even passage and haggard Harris' are prone to becoming vocal once acclimatised.
Are you keeping her at 2.2 to 2.3 even when you aren't flying her?

I think that you would keep the metal part and just make new anklets, and put the metal part around them. Keep recycling them. You method would work just as well.

Not sure if he still does them but I got a long bow made from alcathene pipe from Martin Jones. Mind you I got mine around 30 years ago, but its still going strong.
