i was looking up raptors in new guinea and i found this
black-mantled goshawk its a stunning bird but the last time
i saw a picture of it was on here about 1 or 2 years ago..

hmm they dont have fuzzy feet. not in new zealand anyway . there are two raptors not including the owls and they both have regular feet as far as i know the australasian harrier and the new zealand...

awesome it sounds like a falcon with alot of potential a small waiting on falcon would be brilliant. its just a real shame its illegal now to do falconry in aus think ill just have to get into raptor...

there awesome little falcons. i think there quite like the european hobby but i reckon they look cooler, and apparently they can easly take doves...

i read somewhere that in japan they usto use hoods made out of silk and paper. dose anyone know anything about that? i would be cool to see what they look like or how it is done
