Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

Beautiful weather today, she spent most of it just going up and down on thermals. She took a rook at the end off the day, a bit to close for my liking to the compactor. But the driver was aware of...

Re: Gyr/Barbary(Male)

Killed a big crow in the stoop, within minutes of being unhooded. It didn’t see him coming out from above in the sun.

Re: Gyr/Barbary(Male)

He’s been flying like a demon recently, taking no prisoners. Managed to get a clip of yesterday’s kill.

Tom

He had a mixture of jackdaw and rook

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

Has been a while since the last update. She had a couple of
Kills or so, last one being a rat the other day. 😬 She has kept away from the local peregrines this week, staying on her own territory ...

Re: Gyr/Barbary(Male)

Some brilliant weather the last couple of days. He’s been displaying and patrolling his territory at silly heights. Then once finished he’s killed both days, crow yesterday, rook today.

Re: BFC

I remember being banned from this site, for all sort of mundane reasons. How this thread has ran so long is beyond me. Couple of guys using it to attack a club and individuals, poor show.

Re: Gyr/Barbary(Male)

It’s been difficult for him lately, not that many opportunities for him. He did decide one day to stoop through an adult BB gull. He could have had it as it took a fair hit, and needed a bit of time...

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

For the last while, she has spent most of her time annoying the local peregrine population. The local pair give her a right hard time, but she insists on hanging around with them. Some days almost...

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

Low powerful attack and took this crow on the rise. Nice big healthy crow, who put a fight, she did well to keep it.

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

Didn’t see yesterday’s flight at gull, but seen today’s. It was passing by when she spotted it from the jeep roof. Three stoops and a bind later, it’s day was over.

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

She spotted this crow within minutes, didn’t stand a chance with being wet. She had it wrapped up after two stoops.

These are perfect weather conditions for getting you’re hawk entered on...

Re: Gyr/Barbary Falcon (Female)

A good start to the year for both the G/B’s. From straight out the hood, she was all over this rook. Lost sight as they disappeared round the corner, tracked her to the gorse bank not far.
