Re: What's changed?

I totally agree with all of that! Some old threads on this forum are profoundly interesting and informative, experienced falconers contributing at length on many of the finer points of flying hawks...

Re: Help needed with a problem Goshawk

This is the method I would use as well. It is exactly what Jack Mavrogordato describes in 'A Hawk for the Bush'. Do you have this book Odhrßn?

Re: What's changed?

I imagine vetting new applicants (if it is possible ) would be far less work than clearing up the mess? And if the spammers knew they couldn't get through they'd give up? Resulting in even less work...

Re: Forum

If you do a Google search ' spam on vbulletin forums' you will see that it is a widespread problem. One suggestion is that it is a means of directing traffic to sites via the links and bumping them...

Re: Beak problem

I know it is hard to stop hunting when a bird is going well, but it might have been a good idea to give her rest and put her weight up. And I probably don't need to tell you this, but what is left of...

Thank you Liam, and also those who sent a PM. ( Can't PM back , a minor unintended misdemeanor years ago... resulting in eternal punishment...lol.) Glad you enjoyed the video.

Re: XesEri Intro

Hi Eri,

this forum is nearly dead these days, but you will find a lot of good info in the archives if you look for it (but lots of trash too.).

Have you joined NAFEX, a US forum? It may be more...

Re: Living the Dream

Thank you Tony.
The filming is a bit like the flights...some you win some you lose! After the flight is over and I'm heading home I look forward to plugging the memory card into the computer and...

Re: Living the Dream

Thank you Tony.

The fields where we fly are not enormous....which moderates Archie's pitch ...so the action is often quite close... which is good for taking video. I would like to be able to film...

Re: Living the Dream

I learnt a huge amount from reading this thread before I ever thought I might fly a longwing. A series of lucky events led to my picking up a Tiercel in August 2015. Here is some video from his...

Thanks Tony, that's a very vivid description. I really feel for you getting a fail to flush, particularly on a day like this when he'd be working his socks off up there! What a shame!

Re: 'Barrabas' - Vernon Brown bred Imprint Male Goshawk
