There are Sky trials taking place in Spain, several a year actually,
they are well organized a lot of birds competing AND unlike US there is also a huge tent with falconry equipment etc. At the US sky trials there might be one or two vendors. The quality of birds is also comparable (flights over 1000ft are the norm) it is also a big social event and many falconers meet there. The first of the season is always mid October in Leon, the last in the end of January in Valladolid, inbetween there would be Seville. Weather in October can be over 30°C Hope this helps

The dates for the sky trials are not yet set in stone and combined with the Spanish let it lay mentality, will not be published before July/August.
Camping is not generally recommended, due to the location, but there are affordable accomodation nearby (30EUR/night with breakfast in a 3 star hotel, no bnb in Spain) The date is usually the second weekend in October for Leon, in the village of la "Virgen del Camino". There are competitions for short- and longwings. its an event with hundreds of spectators and up to 140 competitors! If you go bring summer cloth AND prepare for rain, both is possible during that time of the year but first is more likely, last couple years its been 25-32°C at the time. Once the meet is over all falconers head to the "Scotland Yard" a pub owned and operated by a falconer, its great fun and after a couple beer even the worst Brit speaks fluent Spanish
