Barn owl info

Hi, looking into a barn owl, obviously I'm not seeking advice solely off here, I have been reading watching DVD's and doing hands on expierience with my friend, he doesn't however own a barn owl so I have never flown one. I just want to know a little about them, weight control, what there like to train, and your routine with your barn owl. any help much appreciated
