Default Hood Cam!!

Been toying with the idea for a while and found this online.............just ordered one ú15 so we'll see how good it is.

if the video and review this guy has done IS how he says it is, then might get a bit of footage..................................I'll update you as and when it arrives. Probably in 10 days or so. It only weighs 17g.

I've had 2 flights with the camera but for some reason the camera stops after 3 minutes!! Today we flew her and the hood came off but luckily it was only about 50 yards from us and we watched as it 'twirled' down from a couple of hundred feet!!
I've contacted the seller and just turned it on indoors. This time I got 3, 3minute clips which is about right as after 3 minutes there is a 1 second break, then records again. I have a 16gb hd-sd card in and the Saker is getting more used to wearing it.
Here are a few pics from today...................

Sorry to be a killjoy Clive, but I hope these things don't catch on.

Best wishes,

Tony.

I hope you accept my thoughts in good spirit as they are intended.
The 'Hood' looks to small I am not surprised it fell off, also I would think it may be tightest over the birds ears.
You need to attach to a bigger hood I think.
Very interesting project good luck with it.

Not a kill-joy at all; I only got it for a bit of fun and the camera is cheap. I know of a good few that want to try one, and I expect a great many more will not...............
I want to get a perspective of what it's like when she goes into a stoop and the general sights from how she sees things!!

Ian, it's a little on the big side; with the eye patches removed she takes a little time getting it on properly. We flew her on Sunday and she was up for 20 minutes and it was seated properly. I have a different hood to try later as it is stiffer and flatter on top. The hood integrity seems to be compromised a little with the cuts outs!!!

She doesn't tom, I fly her for fun but the tiercel does. I think the camera is a little too much to fit to the tiercel.
