Default Looking for a mentor

Hi all. new to the forum but not the interest in Falconry. i've loved the idea of becoming a falconer since i was a child and I finally feel like i've arrived in a place were i have the time and money to dedicate to it.
Now im no where near starting yet... I need to get driving (will be sorted this year) and i really want to move house first to a place with easier access to the fields and farms around me.
This is probably gonna take me a year at least so im not in a rush to buy a bird. I've been doing an awful lot of reading and watching videos etc but im starting to get to the stage were i feel only hands on experience is going to benefit me.
I found a torbayfalconers website and emailed them but havent had any response yet so basically im just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction or give me any tips on finding a mentor locally?
