Having worked on landfills for the last ten years (rats and flies) and hearing many horror stories from falconers I can only commend you lads! I don't think many folk will appreciate how difficult of a job it is to do effectively. Hats off to you!

You're right it's not all fun, and welcome.

From straight out the hood he veered left, straight for a disabled crow. It had wing damage, I reckon it's one that he hit before. Anyway he sucked it up very quickly, I didn't want to finish there. So I stepped him off it, something that I don't do with him on corvids. But I though that was way to easy, but not long after he smacked another easy youngster head on.

Tom

The second one.

Finished with a nice crow from a stoop in windy conditions on Friday. That's him for a few weeks as I'm on holiday soon.

Back on the wing yesterday, after a few weeks off, not much happened. Today He was quickly back in the grove, flight at pigeon, crow, which I caught on film. The crow he did catch, i didn't see any of the flight. He caught it just behind me, but I took my eyes of him and missed it. Love flying this bird.

Today's crow

Clip of the one that got away, and him feeding on the one that didn't.
