Cheers Nick, great value especially when you can pick your own colours and design
Look forward to see the pic

I agree Karl. This is the thing with modern falconry furniture - there's just so much rubbish on the market. I cringe when I visit the fair's, watching the minority rooting through the bargain tents.... convincing themselves they've bagged a bargain!

Anyway rant over!.... and as always, quality gear is easy to photograph.

Quality gear is easy to photograph? Not on an iphone it seems!

But one thing is for sure. Steve's hoods are exceptional, and we're lucky to have a UK distributor in Carl.

Best wishes,

Tony.

Tony,

I really do hope you have another hobby besides photography, and don't blame the camera,

Sean, the hoods look exceptional. However, although quality may be easier to photograph, it takes a great skill to present them the way you do.

I can't wait to see more of the photographs,

Sorry Stewart,

for sure the photograph does no justice to the hoods. I owe Steve the courtesy of a proper photograph, which I'll be sure to do when I get the chance.

Belated happy birthday by the way.

Best wishes,

Tony.

Could be either or.
If it is from Japan, I'd wager that it fits on a bird's head like a cut up tennisball.

I met Steve Tait at the Skytrials in 2011. Very nice guy to speak with. The raised centre panel on his hoods are a wonderful touch.
Gamehawker is making a good move here by bringing a bunch of Tait hoods to the fair. Nothing like seeing the merchandise before you buy it.

Ps any chance posting a pic of your new hood?
Phil, Nick,

it might seem like a great idea to bypass a distributor (Carl) and go direct, but there are advantages to supporting the guy.
1. You get the chance to see it 'in the hand' before you buy, pay your money, and take it there and then.
2. If the hood doesn't quite fit, you're dealing with a quicker and less costly exchange.
3. Carl is trying to support falconers and is dealing in very modest margins, passing a good deal on to you. He's not charging ú77.32, he's charging ú75.

Go on, give credit where it's due.

Tony.

Thanks Stewart, appreciated.

Carl tells me this little project may be ongoing, and it all sounds very appealing, especially to the serious collector...... fingers crossed it materialises.
