Hi Eric,
Not sure which photograph. The silver gyr above the guy on the white Arab horse?

That's not Mohammed. I don't think he came down. Will call him tomorrow at a decent hour to find out.

Regards,
Jannes

PS: but then again, in bedouin camouflage its hard to tell. You recognize Ameeriky?

Yes, that falcon looks just like Ameeriky. She was smacking Canada Geese around in Idaho a year ago. I heard she was shipped to Dubai a few months ago. And the guy slipping her looks just like Mo, except I have never seen him in the traditional garb. Was she on her way to chase the RCA lure ? She liked that in her first season.

I had another good look at the photograph and I really cannot tell if its Mohammed or not. The hatra and sunglasses makes it difficult. I dont remember him having his beard in that style, but he might have succumbed to fashion, who knows? LOL

He sent me some photos of her on geese when he was still in the States. There is no arguing the fact that he is a very gifted young falconer and the nicest man one could ever hope to know. I only attended the Festival during the final weekend, so I never saw the RC planes unfortunately. I saw Mo fly a 3/4 Gyr Saker to a plane two years ago and he knows his business!

He told me he brought over a pair of silver Gyrs, but I think the male died. However, there are many silver gyrs kicking about in the UAE.

All the best,
Jannes
