Question African Fish Eagle Breeder

Afternoon everyone!

Does anyone know of a reputable Eagle breeder? I am looking for an African Fish Eagle. I know these birds are a bit like gold dust at the moment, so I'm willing to travel to get one. I have already sent an e.mail to Andrew Knowles Brown, I believe he does have a pair, but as of yet I haven't heard back from him. I was just wondering if anybody could recommend anyone else.

Thank you in advance!

We can't PM you as we have not paid. If you e-mail us direct we can tell you where ours went. We do not want to put the guy's name on the forum as he may not like it.

Many Thanks

Peter and Richard

Hi, When I got him, he was already 18 months old, but completely parent reared and untouched. I certainly had my work cut out. It took me 4 months from when I got him to him flying free. He enjoys soaring, and when he was still flying on a creance a wild buzzard came overhead, he shouted at it and then left the perch and started to circle round, thankfully I had hold of the other end of the creance and soon he was safely back down with me! Since flying free he still enjoys the wind, I've yet to fly him on a warm day with thermals - looking forwards to it though! He lands perfectly everytime.
I really enjoy flying him and can't wait for him to colour up! His call gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it!
We have an amazing relationship, I don't stroke him (something I don't believe in), but I can kiss his beak and I never feel nervous

I put this short video together of his very early days of flying free. Please excuse the broken primaries. As I wrote at the beginning, he was 18months old and untouched, he was very mental when I got him, and he broke them in the early days, he hasn't broken any for months now, and I'm looking forwards to him moulting them out and growing new ones which I'm confident that he will not break
