I've posted this picture before but, these guys had a great knack for catching ducks in difficult conditions. Sadly they've have both passed away this year.If you like pintails then you can appreciate the photo

So true! Pintails seem to wait a moment or two after the other ducks flush. By then the falcon has started its stoop and picked out a target. Then the pintails blast out the back door. Most pintails I've caught were on big water with large numbers of ducks. During our short fall duck season the drakes are rarely in their attractive winter/spring plumage anyhow.

Hell!!! I think any falconer would appreciate that photo.

Reminds me of the time my shorthair was pointing something with the gos standing on her head peering into the grass trying to see what the dog was smelling.

Absolutely great picture!!!!! Sorry that team passed on. Again I laughed my ass off when I saw the picture

Hmm,

Defo a smaller falcon for me, bit a of agility and speed - merlin would be lovely - but would settle for a small hybrid.

But with the current land - anything for magpie hawking. Lanner, pere/prairie etc

But, land/money no odds... WHITE GYR big big female and go take out geese... maybe im just dreaming...
