Ian,

A sad beginning, but an enjoyable read, warts and all. Hope you can manage to expand on the thread, I am sure many will read it.

I think I recognised a few backgrounds there,

Good luck,

Atb, Stewart.

Something i would like to add on this thread before i go any further and before someone jumps down my throat (on the forum? NEVER!) i reffered earlier to Alfie as slaughtering game birds we did indeed get a large bag but this as i have allready said was before i had seen how game hawking was actually done (Gregg and Frodo being the first) i was muddling around using books as a reference not realising the potential of real game hawking we were up to the end of the second season and to be fair most of this one slamming stuff from a pretty puny pitch (dont get me wrong we had some "great pitches" too)this season was a real eye opener and insparation for me as i will go on to describe please just bare with me i am just trying to do a honest account for my own reference as much as anyone elses so i can learn from my mistakes

Keep it comming Ian, I dont think anyone can really understand how difficult game hawking is untill they get out and do it.. I have tended to rush things at times and need to stop and take note of the set up and my plans more before letting the bird go. Hope alls well mate, this gyr of mines chucking feathers out all over roll on next season! Mike
