Question Travelling to Belgium

Got to arrange a trip with birds to Belgium just wanted to know if anyone has done a trip through Eurotunnel or ferry Dover to Calais and if they forsaw any problems with travelling through France.
Health Certificates and EU paperwork would obviously be in order but I've heard rumours about trying to travel through France and I believe you cannot go Ramsgate to Ostend with animals?

hopefull for some usefull input..

Mike
