Hi Tom ,back in 09 when i got my imprint off Nigel most of the other lads on here car hawked there Spars,we all knew it but it was not mentioned once on any of there threads ,,,,so you have a very valid point it does not need to be mentioned that's what pm's are for but still i don't think the subject should be banned from the forum.

There has to my knowledge never been a conviction against someone for car hawking. The reason why? Because the definition of 'pursuit or pursuing' is not clear in the law....

There has been one sucessful prosecution about 3 years ago in south Wales, a chap flying a harris out of a moving car window on a residential housing estate was fined and also done for contravening the conditions of a general licence that he said covered him!

If my memory serves me correctly, police where also investigating a vid on youtube that made the news,
I think it was some Geordie lads throwing Harris' out of a moving vehicle on crows and Jackdaws, it was in a built up area.

Quite so, the very sort of situation depicted earlier then - not your average falconer in reality, but a chav.

Dont see any sense in car hawking myself, get yer boots on and go hawking, learn yourself some field craft along the way!Someone once passed a spar on to me that had been car hawked at magpies, this bird never made one single effort in fair play!!

Yes, crow hawkers do and they are not mechanically propelled, however don't admit to it and don't post pictures
