I supose for a Golden Eagle that was a few years old it would come down as to what it's manners were like and what it has done.

It's 1 thing to buy an un trained youngster it's another to buy an adult bird that is a few years old that might have a few issues.

If it seems to be to good to be true on the price then it may well be as you may well be taking on a problem.

I've seen Golden Eagles a few years old advertised for between ú2500 - ú3500

And rightly so too, these aren't birds that should be readily available cheaply to all and sundry. Atb

The problem is the amount being bred, the price of something is decided by demand, simply, The trouble is there are now probably more eagles about than are wanted, so in essence its a buyers market, The only way to get the top dollar, is for less to be bred, and demand to be higher.
The fact is you will only get back, what youve put in.
