if I had the choice I would stay with hard wired cameras every time, what is the distance to your pens ?

it might be a pain to route it but shotgun cable it the best and only cheap and the runs power and video all the way up to you camera.

Are you thinking of using a DVR to record what’s going on ?

It’s a mine field to be honest but spend right the first time and you won’t regret it
