last night the eyass did not settle until it was dark she was not hungry. when i got up this morning still not hungry, while checking my larsen traps i shot a rabbit with the rimfire.
when i got home she had the lungs heart and kidneys still hot for her breakfast.
she has just took one side of a woodpigeons breast for her lunch snatching it off the end of the tweezers as soon as she saw the chunks coming.
no 24 hr food availability with this one its hand feeding all the way.
she has been kept company at kens i guess with her other siblings perhaps her restlesness was down to being alone, i popped a soft toy in beside her and she took to it no problem.

hello wullie,
i am feeding on demand like last year, the eyass will take a full crop when she wants it, there will be no flies buzzin around the feed and house all day, and she will be eating fresh meat at every meal time.
i have the time on my hands to do it this way, when the meal is finnished it is cleared away from the tub just like in the nest.

Thanks Keith i just thought that there was a particular reason why you were hand /tweezer feeding rather than the 24 hour food but i see where you are coming from with the flies/mess and all but did this have any behaviour changes in the young eyass at the latter stages ie...screaming ,aggressionthis being the first male i have done would appreciate some feedback.
