Some times its best to get the opposite sex to ask, mother, wife, girl friend, most of the permission i have, has been procured by my wife.

I migrated to Ireland, in the first week over here i had more land to hunt over than a lifetime in the UK.

Do you actually have a hawk?
You'll have a hard time turning up and speaking fluently about falconry if you don't have any experience of it. No farmer will be impressed by that, especially from a fourteen year old.
I don't know what your falconry plan is or if you have a mentor to guide and teach you...and to support you in all areas including how best to go about gaining permission. I'm sorry to be brutally honest here but any farmer I know would send you off with a dog's teeth in your ankle.

i asked one chap who was shooting pigeons and he didnt even know who owned the land, he just said he had permission?!?!? he didnt seem too bothered if i ferreted on the land, so i may pay the warren a visit in the autumn. any more advice would be much appreciated as this could be a good time to work out the best way to get permission out of all the suggested ways, trial and error!

Yeah, that's a great way to start your falconry adventure. Poaching, and risk hacking off a falconer who may have permission on the ground,
