I must thank David Fox once again for his talk at the Cheshier Hawking Club, the whole club was engrosed, if any one gets chance to see him go the photography was brilliant as was his talk.

I was also present and the photography was excellent, also some of the background information on the birds was fantastic to hear, the work that has gone into them for the last 50 years or more is unbeleivable..lets hope it continues

I first met David Fox over forty years ago when he was flying an Inperial eagle "Ajax" and a Goshawk "Rudy" so named because it was a ruddy nusiance. I have photographs of me and Ajax in our back garden, with me looking terrified.

As a young lad I visited the flying ground every Saturday and learned to fly birds with him, no one can understand how excited I used to be going to see David and the crew at Hucknall zoo unless you too had been bitten by the falconry bug.

After "O "land "A"levels I didn't meet David again until the 2nd Festival of Falconry in Reading. Apart from being grey haired he had hardly changed, sadly when I spoke with him I don't think he remembered me. Possibly not surprising as I was only about thirteen at the time.

Jeff

The book was some time afterwards, possibly four or five years.
