Default How do you keep your falconry records?

Hi,

It seems like everyone keeps their records differently. Personally I have never found a method that i'm that happy with! Just interested what methods people use and if you like them. I use printed charts but it isn't great. I loose them and and they damaged etc. What do you guys use?

3 ring notebook with weight charts. Permit records in another 3 ring notebook in my truck. Originals of permit paperwork in a master file at home, tabbed according to permit type.

Of course Dave! I'm doing really well thanks, revision going great, got a place at college to study animal management, going into a volunteering placement at the Falconry department of a castle. Everything's going really great at the minute. How are things with you, are your bird's moulting well?

There are Falconer's journals available online that look quite good, it that doesn't work, wall charts near the weighing area will probably do the job. The centre I go to just use a large A4 sized notebook and record each bird's daily weight and what food has been fed. It all depends on how many birds your keeping records for and whether you want to archive the records etc. That method works well for the centre as they have 30+ birds and archive everything in case of illness or other reasons. I hope this helps?

Regards,

Bradley
