Default Frank Keens

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Frank died from a Heart Attack last month.
Frank was one of the top breeders of Owls in Europe and ran Essex Owls.
I have not seen Frank for a while and now I regret not having found the time to go and see him as we have been friends for many years.

RIP my friend

Terry

Very sorry to hear that.

I phoned him once, a few years ago, just "on spec" for some advice about an owl which was behaving strangely.

He didn't know me & I wasn't phoning to buy anything, but he gave his time freely on the phone & was genuinely concerned to help.

A sad loss of someone with so much knowledge.

RIP.

Frank used to come over to the centre for a cuppa and a chit chat ...it was very sudden and all at Imperial were very shocked...We have a wooden owl up at the centre that he gave to lisa as a gift and we are also going to put a plaque on one of our benches for him ....he was a funny old boy!!!

That's horrible news. Frank was like everyones favourite Grandad! For sure a ground breaker through the years as far as owl breeding is concerned. A chat and a cup of tea with Frank was always an afternoon well spent. He'll be sadly missed.
Barry.

Thanks for letting us know Terry.. Frank bred me some great owls over the years.. one of the old school.. as you get older 10yrs seems to go as fast as 2! another great wealth of knowledge lost, sad news indeed.
