Default QUOTING others on this forum.

If you want to quote a small segment of what another person has said you do the following:
 1. Copy the text you want
 2. Type this in your dialogue box:
 3.
or
4. Now paste the text
 5. And end by typing:
 6. [/quote.]
Please note there is no slash in the first one, but there is in the second set of brackets and no dot.

Hope this helped you?

Lost me. I just hit the "quote" button and then delete the text that I do not want to quote.

No idea, but I bet they will if they try it your way. Seems to be going the long way round the barn to me. Why not just delete the unwanted content as Sparviter says?

I copy and delete the bits I don't want..but it doesn't end up in a grey box.
I have a serious problem understanding instructions...so I still can't grasp how to do it from what you say!!!! I need some pictures that show exactly how to do it because I'm a computer illiterate.
