Default Microsensory VS Marshall at Jemima's

Some of you were there - so how did the first head to head of the new generation of telemetry go?
* No comments from either company, please.

There was no 'head to head'. The demo put on by Marshall was impressive.

Xavier (Bob Dalton, too I believe) had been saying that Microsensory were going to be there.

Hi Justin,

I don't think it ever could or should have been a head to head. They are apples and oranges.

One is a radio transmitter with training quirks/tools/gimmicks and local positioning system. The other is a proper GPS system that can recover your hawk on a wider/global scale.

Depends what you want, and either could suit you very well. But the Marshall system isn't GPS in the truest sense. My only concern is people rushing in and buying it thinking that it is?

Gerry's limited range on his early trials just highlights the limitations of that system for getting your hawk back beyond the scope of normal radio telemetry. It won't.

I've no bias either by the way. More R & D chaps!

Nick

I saw the Marshall in action and initially was very impressed but the range makes it a bit of an expensive gimmick, the Microsesory would be the one for me as it does what its meant to
