hello joe,
rearing and flying one of your own is the best you know if it is a duffer it is your fault , you put the best food and attention you can to reate your ideal hawk , look at the colour of his legs and cere in the above photos compared to post number 11 , i put this down to a natural diet of wild birds , hell he is nearly organic!
Keith

sioux was weighed this morning empty , he was £1-4 oz
he is getting confident on his legs and exploring the living area more , another week of growth and that should be his 35 day weight or there abouts.
by the looks of things i guess he will be the same as his full brother frankie from last years clutch , i hope he turns out to be a pale one.

approaching thirty five days now sioux is quite mobile , i have been tiling the floor in the living room and replacing the skirting boards while lisa has been home in the uk , cutting tiles and sawing timber he has been taking it all in , never once offered to help! he has been loose in the garden and around the house while the boss has been away , he goes in the van everywhere i go , i milk a herd of cows a few afternoons a week to help one of my neighbours out , he comes on the quad bike to round the herd up ready for milking , and then watches the goings on in the parlour through milking from a lofty perch.
he has had maximum exposure until now , i hope it turns out worth while.

sioux is 35 days old today , he weighed in this morning before his feed at £1 -7 and a quarter just an ounce less than his full brother last year , he will only be a little tommy thumper i hope he is a hard hitter!
