Like I said earlier Rob, they live on a natural diet, where as racers are often given supplements, not something I would use, its just a case of getting out and harvesting them, on the other hand you could do things the easy and lazy way and take all the **** of your local pigeon fancier
I eat woodies, I certainly wouldn't eat a racer.

Nothing scientific in it, pluck them and lay them next to each other which one is biggest?

Deep freeze for a few months, then remove the guts and good bit of the back end and the head and crop. Sometime I cut the chest and keel out if the pigeon has been blasted.

Good racing pigeons I only freeze for a week and gut them as I know the racing pigeons that I am getting are from good stock.

The more pigeons the better.

I live in South Herts and now shoot Wood Pigeons only with steel shot, as I supply a good few birds on a regular basis to a friend who keeps Falcons.

I've recently invested in a new freezer as I often shoot more than he can take, I could always hope to supply a few birds to local Guys who could collect from me.

Please message me if you are interested..?

Regards,

Cat.
