Had a funny one tonight, got home from work at about 3.30.
So thought I'd give him a quick spin on the golf course, flushed a cock bird from just behind my back garden, and he chased it down over the golf course but it made cover before he could get on terms with it and he took stand in a Oaktree, as I was walking down to call him back to the fist, pepper flushed a more hen from some thick cover and it flew across the golf course and over the lake heading for the far bank, The gos came out of the tree flew it in fine style and plucked out of the air about 30 yards up. Then carried it and landed right in the middle of the island. I had to run home and put the dog away, then picked up a shovel to use as a paddle, and talk to Mrs into giving me a hand, then I had to row out to the island in a boat, and get the Mrs to Tow me back on a long rope back to shore with the Gos on the fist. Lol.

Lol Terry, I think I would've been better off with a long wooden pole rather than trying to paddle with shovel. atb Chris
