Used to be able to get extremely strong suction clamps to hold fly fishing rods assemble on the car bonnet and roof, maybe adapt one of those to take the Marshall ariel !!!!

Barry,

I found a suction cup used in the glazing industry that should be up to the job of attaching the aerial (apologies for the Americanism) and possibly the PocketLink to the car.
As the PocketLink is waterproof I cant see any harm in it being attached to the suction cup as well then there are no cable entry issues to deal with just a blue tooth connection to my phone.

Finally got round to building this and used a suction cup film crews use to mount cameras on cars so don't think a skinny old aerial will be going anywhere.

Let's just hope never have to use it in anger!
